You Should Know About
Because of electronic searches by customs officers, the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Asian Law Caucus have just filed lawsuits in San Francisco, demanding that the goverment disclose its policies on the searching and copying of contents of electronic devices. Laptop computers have even been seized, before the devices were returned days later. Businesses are now concerned about the safeguarding of company secrets, and are beginning to stop employees from carrying company equipment across borders.
