McCain vs. Obama: Good First US-TV Debate - Slight Obama Advantage So Far
The long awaited first debate turned out to be constructive, intelligent and fair. Speculations, that Obama would fail without teleprompter, turned out to be false. And McCain war lively, combattive and interesting. Immediately after the end of the debate, independent listeners said that Obama convinced them better, that he would have the interests of the American public in mind, while solving the current financial crisis. When the discussion touched security and military issues, Obama seemed to make better points than many had expected, although McCain, in first polls, was favored by more listeners. Overall, media and public welcomed the debate as a positive, informative event.
