UFO in Germany? Not Really!
The "Central Research Network for Unusual Sky Phenomenons" (CENAP) in Mannheim, Germany identified this effect as a larger-than-usual meteorite.
A large bright light-effect over Southern Germany was mistakenly thought of as a UFO yesterday.
Werner Walter, a CENAP spokesperson, talked about telephone callers, who had seen the light for a few seconds in the sky. They reported a reddish-yellow tail and "additional orange particles".
Anyone in Southern Gemany, who happened to view the skies at that particular time, saw the very impressive event. Around the Bodensee Lake, all the way to Ulm and Heilbronn, viewers were excited. Some reported a UFO, others thought it might have been space junk from past satellites, or even from a Chinese test in space, making headlines around the world at that time.
